Jack Ross · Growth + Product Marketing

Turn hard-to-explain products into growth.

I build content, acquisition, and lifecycle systems for technical products. At Pieces, I grew from Creative Growth Lead to Head of Growth & Marketing.

Pieces · AI memory platform

From creative growth to leading marketing.

Creative Growth Lead Head of Growth & Marketing

I owned social content, advertising, landing pages, and funnels, and took on payment and lifecycle work. I partnered with the founders and engineering team on the website and product feedback, and coordinated freelancers across creative, ads, and events.

A one-man video factory.

I built an AI-assisted video factory that shipped dozens of product, partnership, and event videos for Pieces—their strongest-performing content format on X. Once the system was in place, each new set of release notes produced a finished video.

Positioning work

Reframed Pieces around on-device AI memory and the “AI amnesia” problem, then carried that narrative through product launches, Product Hunt collateral, release content, landing pages, and education. Launch work included Pieces Copilot, LTM, MCP, and Claude Cowork / model selection.

Meta campaign

Campaigns were running without consistent measurement. I made tracking and feedback part of the workflow so we could evaluate performance and decide what to improve.

  • Research + creative — Researched the product and audience, developed campaign angles, and tested hooks and value propositions across video and static creative.
  • Funnels + payments — Built landing pages, signup and checkout flows, and worked on Paddle payment infrastructure and download delivery.
  • Measurement + iteration — Connected GA4 events, campaign attribution, and conversion feedback for Meta and Google Ads; used the data to find funnel drop-off and guide changes.

My campaign ideas and funnel results informed spend decisions; I worked with the founders and external collaborators to execute them.

BloomTech · Social Growth

Go viral. Over and over again.

Social media contractor · approximately six months

I ran BloomTech’s social channels, growing Instagram from almost nothing to 30K+ followers. Developer humor and education became a repeatable publishing system that drove millions of views and website clicks from a tech audience.

The goal was to bring a relevant tech audience from social to BloomTech’s website.

Events + Community · Pieces

Bring people together.

I built the events around the product too—from an online AI summit to an in-person gathering in San Francisco.

Pieces AI Productivity Summit

I put together the Pieces AI Productivity Summit, bringing together 1,400+ attendees for talks, demos, and conversations about working with AI.

Built from scratch on a $0 budget, including programming, speaker outreach, promotion, and production.

The lineup included Scott Hanselman, VP of Developer Community at Microsoft; Rizel Scarlett of Block; speakers from Salesforce and PandaDoc; and a DevRel panel with Chloe Condon of Google.

How I can help

The work sits between creative execution, growth strategy, and the systems that keep both moving.

  • Content + Creative

Social, video, product tutorials, paid/organic creative, and native content systems built for the platform they live on.

  • Campaigns + Growth

Acquisition, funnels, events, partnerships, and launches—and the campaigns that turn attention into customers.

  • Lifecycle + Measurement

Email, onboarding, analytics, and the automation that keeps the conversation going after signup.

Hi, I’m Jack.

I’m a growth marketer, creator, builder, and recovering data engineer. I started on the technical side, moved into content and social, and later became Head of Growth & Marketing at Pieces. That weird combination turned out to be useful.

I’m most useful when the product is technical, the team is lean, and someone needs to connect the story to the growth system behind it.

I like making things people actually notice.

Have a product, launch, or growth problem worth solving?

If the product is technical, the story is messy, or the growth system needs building, send me a note.
